Rep. John Kowalko E-newsletter

Dear Neighbor,

I will restart my community coffee events Tuesday, September 3 at 7 a.m. at the Friendly’s on South College Avenue. I am looking forward to discussing current events and issues with you.

Additionally, the city of Newark is holding a community information session to discuss plans to develop a data center on UD’s STAR Campus (formerly the Chrysler Plant). The event will held Tuesday, September 3 at 7 p.m. at George Wilson Center, 303 New London Road (across from UD Marriott). Please join us to become fully informed about the proposed data center project. There will be a presentation, displays and a question & answer session. Councilwoman Marge Hatton sent out an e-mail regarding this presentation, stating:

To clarify the data center’s community information session on September 3, the purpose is to inform about aspects of their proposed project at the Chrysler location in Newark, and should provide information about their proposed co-generation power plant “accessory” building to be located there.

I know many of you have concerns about this large power generating facility so close to our neighborhoods. All concerned should make a special effort to come to the session.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.

Sincerely,

John Kowalko, Jr.
