Dear Neighbor,

I hope this message finds you well and that you and your family have a safe, happy, and healthy holiday season.

In this newsletter, I have included details from my recent visit at Marbrook Elementary School, which included a book signing by Rick DeDonato, author of Pipsie Nature Detective and resident of the 19th District.

In addition, I would like to inform everyone of the Department of Elections proposed polling place change in the 19th District. Voters in that electoral district will be notified of the changes appropriately.

I would also like to inform everyone of the availability of the Parent's Guide to Completing FAFSA, as well as the Delaware Department of Education's 2016-2017 Delaware Scholarship Application for Delaware residents interested in applying for scholarships, grants, and professional incentive loans to pursue post-secondary education in the next academic year. Please see below for additional information.

As always, please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns about issues facing our community or the state at large.

Sincerely,

Kim Williams

Marbrook Elementary School Visit & Book Signing

Last week, I had the opportunity to visit second-grade students at Marbrook Elementary School and introduce them to Rick DeDonato, a resident of the 19th District and author of several children books including his latest, the Pipsie Nature Detective.

I was happy to arrange the event and present copies of the book for each student, which Mr. DeDonato signed for the kids after reading his book to the class. For more information about the Pipsie Nature Detective and Mr. DeDonato's work, please visit http://www.pipsienaturedetective.com/

Polling Place Change in the 19th District

The State Department of Elections will ask the Board of Elections to approve a polling place change for the 19th District. The single polling place proposal has occurred because of the recently-sold St. Philips Lutheran Church. The new polling place will be DSU or Mill Creek Fire House. Voters in this electoral district will be notified of the changes appropriately. For more information, please contact the Department of Elections office here
