Dear Neighbor,

Wishing you and your family a very healthy and happy New Year! As we enter 2016, I would like to provide you with several updates leading into the second leg of the 148th General Assembly on Tuesday, January 12th.

I am pleased to announce that House Bill 186, the Charter Audit bill, will be heard in the Senate Education Committee meeting on Wednesday, January 13th. The bill passed in the House of Representatives on June 30th, 2015. In addition, I have filed House Bill 232 relating to the State Board of Education and public comment at its meetings. Please see below for additional information.

I would also like to inform you of Governor Jack Markell's scheduled State of the State Address on Thursday, January 21st.  This will be Governor Markell's last State of the State to address policy initiatives for the coming year, due to term limitations.

Lastly, I have included information about the National Do Not Call Registry, which gives you the choice about whether to receive telemarketing calls at your residence.

I continue to be honored and proud to represent the 19th District and all Delawareans in the General Assembly. As we prepare to return to session, I welcome and encourage your input on the issues most important to you, your family, and the community.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call my office at 302-577-8476.

Sincerely,

Kim Williams

The National Do Not Call Registry gives you a choice about whether to receive telemarketing calls at home. Most telemarketers should not call your number once it has been on the registry for 31 days. If they do, you can file a complaint at their website: https://www.donotcall.gov/. You can register your home or mobile phone for free.
