Dear {{Salutation,DefaultTo=Neighbor}},

I hope this message finds you well! I would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving as we near the upcoming holiday season, and also thank all who have and continue to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces, as we commemorate Veterans Day on November 11th.

In this newsletter, I have included information about my recent participation in the Delaware Principal for a Day program at Brandywine Springs School, as well as the recent opening of the Delaware School Choice application.

I have also included information about several upcoming community events, including the upcoming New Castle County Police Department's meet-and-greet on Wednesday, November 4th, Dickinson High School's Family Resource Fair on Saturday, November 14th, and information on the Food Bank of Delaware's Thanksgiving for All food drive. Please see below for additional details.

As always, please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns about issues facing our community or the state at large.

Sincerely,

Kim Williams

Delaware Principal for a Day Program
I recently had the opportunity to participate in the Delaware Principal for a Day program, where I served as the principal at Brandywine Springs School. During the day, I was able to visit with students and teachers, including fourth-grade teacher William Francisco, who was my teacher when I attended St. Matthews. The Delaware Principal for a Day program has existed since 1993, connecting business and community leaders with local schools throughout Delaware. Since 2004, the program has facilitated more than 1,400 school visits that join principals with these leaders to build grassroots partnerships.
