Dear Parents and Citizens in the City of Wilmington,

I hope this message finds you well and that you and your family have a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday.

I would like to invite you to attend a very important meeting about the future of our children in the public school system in Wilmington.  If you would like to express your concerns about your children being bused to attend schools in other districts, feel that the desegregation process has not worked for the children of Wilmington, and would like to have Wilmington children attend local schools, this is an opportunity to express your thoughts directly to the Wilmington Education Improvement Commission (WEIC), who will submit a final report to the State Board of Education. Please see the information below.

As always, I welcome your thoughts and concerns about the issues facing our community and state at large.

Sincerely,

Charles Potter, Jr.
State Representative, 1st District
