Paul Baumbach

State Representative, 23rd District

Paul Baumbach has served in the House of Representatives for the 23rd District since 2012. He currently serves as the Chair of the House Manufactured Housing Committee, and is a member of the House Economic Development, Banking, Insurance & Commerce Committee, the House Housing & Community Affairs Committee, the House Revenue & Finance Committee, and the House Telecommunications, Internet & Technology Committee.

Rep. Baumbach received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Delaware and Master of Science from Villanova University. In 1996, Rep. Baumbach founded Mallard Financial Partners, Inc., where he serves as the President and Director of Investments. Currently, Rep. Baumbach also holds professional designations as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner ™ (CFP®), and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). 

Rep. Baumbach was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on April 11, 1962. He currently lives in Newark with his wife, Pam, and remains active in the community, serving as a board member for the Delaware Coalition against Gun Violence. Rep. Baumbach has also served a variety of organizations throughout Delaware in the past, including as the president of the Progressive Democrats for Delaware, the treasurer of Equality Delaware, the chair of the Social Justice Steering Committee for the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Newark, and as a commissioner for the Newark Housing Authority.
